Final say on Brexit

The Liberal Democrats demand better for Britain. We want a country that gives our young people the best opportunities in life; that welcomes refugees; and that works with our closest neighbours to tackle global issues such as climate change and security. We want the UK and its institutions - such as our NHS - to thrive. And we're very clear that our vision can only be realised if the UK remains a member of the European Union.

Everyone can see the Conservatives are making a mess of Brexit. It is taking longer than we thought; costing more than we thought; and it's more complicated than we thought. In all this confusion and chaos, what else don't we know? The Conservatives gave the people the first say on Brexit, it's time they committed to give the people the final say, including the option to exit from Brexit.

Jeremy Corbyn and the Labour Party leadership is helping the Conservatives deliver a destructive Brexit that will be bad for Britain. At every opportunity, they are aiding and abetting the Conservatives' shambolic plans. They're betraying their own voters, 70% of whom want to stop Brexit.

With so much uncertainty and so much at stake, it is vital that the British public get to decide on the final deal. The public will be paying the price of a botched Brexit long after today's politicians have gone.

The Liberal Democrats and our supporters demand better for Britain. We want people, not politicians, to have the final say on Brexit, with the option to stay in the EU. We think YOU should decide the future of our country and your family. People had the first say on Brexit, they should have the final say too.
