Great win for Lib Dems in next door Lichfield

Cllr Marion BlandMany congratulations to Cllr Marion Bland and her team in Lichfield for their win in Chadfield Ward, gaining a seat on the District Council from a Conservative who had failed to attend any council meetings for over six months. Marion has also represented Chadfield on Lichfield City Council since 2012 when she topped the poll in a by-election there.

The full result was:

Marion Bland (Lib Dem) 206 votes (36.0%) +4.8%

Labour 157 votes (27.4%) -1.6%

UKIP 108 votes (18.8%) +18.8%

Conservative 102 votes (17.8%) -22.0%

Marion said " I am thrilled that the Chadsmead residents have given me the opportunity to help them even further"
