Even the Knight of the Vale seemed to be joining in the fun at 2010 party in the park

Joining many other local residents and visitors, Tyburn Ward Liberal Democrat Councillor, Ann Holtom and Tyburn Focus editor Trevor Holtom have welcomed the news that Sunday's Party in the Park, Carnival on Castle Vale was a great success, with many exciting attractions and stalls. Cllr Holtom said: "This enjoyable annual event is good news for the Vale, reinforcing the sense of community here and giving people a really fun day out - especially the children. Trevor and I want to thank the organisers for keeping up this important local tradition."

Cllr Holtom added: "The carnival really helps improve our area and I am pleased to be able to play a similar part on behalf of local residents. I am however disappointed that the Carnival organisers didn't invite me to put something in the programme about my role as one of Castle Vale's councillors when they did extend that courtesy to Labour." Councillor Ann Holtom has represented Tyburn Ward since 2002. She lives in the ward and has lived locally all her life. You can contact Cllr Holtom at her regular advice bureau every Monday except bank holidays between 12 noon and 1pm at the Sanctuary, Tangmere Drive, Castle Vale.
