Tyburn Ward's Ann Holtom has been selected to fight the general election in the Erdington constituency
Cllr Ann Holtom has been selected as the Liberal Democrat parliamentary candidate for Erdington by members of Erdington & Sutton Coldfield Liberal Democrats.
Speaking at her selection meeting Ann highlighted her four key priorities for a better Erdington.
1. Improvements in public transport and the urgent need for a new railway station on Castle Vale.
2. Protect jobs in manufacturing industries especially at Jaguar in Castle Bromwich which is threatened with closure.
3. Provide hope for a lost generation with the development of jobs and imaginative programmes to provide paid work experience opportunities for 18-25 year olds.
4. Campaign for a better deal for pensioners who have seen their standard of living drop in the last 10 years.
Ann is looking forward to a positive campaign and to increase the Lib Dem share of the vote.
