Cllr Ann Holtom is working hard to bring a new station to Castle Vale

Councillor Ann Holtom, Tyburn Ward Liberal Democrat representative, who has been leading the campaign to re-open a station at Castle Vale, has issued a statement to update residents on the latest position.

"A report on progress on the Castle Vale/Fort/Bordesley Chords is coming to the Passenger Transport Authority later this month. It states that Centro is to commission detailed cost-benefit analysis of the project in order to make the case for funding.

This is a positive development as a station at Castle Vale cannot be provided until the Bordesley Chords have been developed."

Ann has promised residents she will continue to make the provision of a new station at Castle Vale central to her work on behalf of local residents in her ward. Cllr Holtom has obtained the support of important backers for this campaign including Liberal Democrat transport spokesman Norman Baker MP.
