Local Lib Dem stars in conference rally

One of the stars of the show at the Liberal Democrats' rally at their Bournemouth conference was Birmingham Perry Barr Parliamentary Candidate, Councillor Karen Hamilton.
The rally was addressed by Liberal Democrat Leader Nick Clegg, former Leader Charles Kennedy, TV personality and campaigner Floella Benjamin, and Parliamentary candidate for Birmingham Perry Barr, Councillor Karen Hamilton.
Each set out their reasons why only the Liberal Democrats can deliver a different, better Britain. Councillor Karen Hamilton outlined how she has already made a difference in Birmingham, from taking an interest in trying to clean up her own street, becoming more involved in the community and then becoming a Councillor five years ago. Cllr Hamilton now chairs an important Birmingham City Council Committee.
Tyburn Ward's Liberal Democrat councillor, Ann Holtom and Tyburn Focus editor Trevor Holtom, were both present to support Karen at the rally. Ann said "Karen has been a good friend to Tyburn Ward and to Sutton Coldfield and Erdington Liberal Democrats. She has come and helped us in the ward in the past and is a great ambassador for the Birmingham and the West Midlands. We have every hope that she will be successful in the General Election and become the next Member of Parliament for Birmingham Perry Barr."
