Overgrown trees like this are to be cut back following Lib Dem action to deter anti-social behaviour

Residents have contacted the Liberal Democrat Tyburn Ward Focus Team to see if any action can be taken to cut back trees and shrubs on Croy Drive, Castle Vale. Focus editor Trevor Holtom has taken up residents concerns: Trevor said "This overgrown area is attracting anti-social behaviour and is worrying the residents."

Lib Dem intervention has now prompted Birmingham Council's tree office to take action. A site visit has been made and trees and shrubs will be cut back. They are also conducting a survey of all trees on Castle Vale with a view to cutting back or removing offending foliage. As one resident said "We will all feel a lot safer when the work has been done."
