Local campaigners chosen

Liberal Democrat Campaigners and Supporters

Liberal Democrats - campaigning locally, regionally, nationally.

The Liberal Democrats have now selected the campaigners who will fight the Birmingham Council elections in seats in wards in Erdington and Sutton Coldfield on 1 May.

As already announced, popular Lib Dem councillor, Ann Holtom will re-contest Tyburn Ward, building on her reputation as a hard worker for local people and a champion for Tyburn residents. "Everyone knows someone who's been helped by Ann".

The full list is:

Phillip Mills - Erdington

Hugh Duffy - Kingstanding

Franklyn Aaron - Stockland Green

Richard Pearson - Sutton Four Oaks

Maureen Parker - Sutton Trinity

Jean Woods - Sutton Newhall

Sid Woods - Sutton Vesey

The candidates will be looking to improve on strong performances in last year's elections at a time when the Labour government is unpopular and the Liberal Democrat joint administration of Birmingham Council is producing success in many areas compared to 20 years Labour mismanagement and inefficiency.
